Board Chairs and Heads Partnering to Propel Schools:

This Event Will Provide Attendees With:
- The skills to support leading your school through transformational moments
- The opportunity to develop your relationship through case studies highlighting real governance challenges
- A network of other heads and board chairs to support you as your transform your school
Who Should Attend?
All Board Chairs are welcome to attend with their Heads of School. Join your colleagues from Independent Schools across the Northwest and benefit from the expertise of veteran institutional leaders and fellow participants. You will come away with exposure to theory and practice that will enhance your ability to work together to lead your school and its board.
Learn through presentations, discussion and case study with thought leaders, including Mark Crotty, Executive Director of NWAIS, renowned speakers and experienced Heads of School and seasoned Board Chairs.
The program will consist of:
- Workshop on Best Practices of the Board Chair and Expectations for Partnering with the Head of School
- Case Studies
- Opportunities to discuss and share knowledge and experience
Includes Registration for Head and Board Chair as well as: continental breakfast, lunch and all meeting materials.

To receive the early bird or regular discount, your registration must be complete and payment must be postmarked or received by the stated deadline.

Substitutions may be made any time prior to the conference. Written cancellations received by May 8, 2020 are eligible for a refund after a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after May 8, 2020 are ineligible for any refund.
NWAIS is Going Paperless
All program materials will be provided electronically.
If there are pre-event materials, they will be sent to you via email about a week prior to the event. Please "BYOD" (bring your own device) to access them at the workshop or if you prefer, print out the digital materials and bring them with you. We will not have hard-copy packets for attendees on-site.
NWAIS May Help Cover Travel Costs
The NWAIS travel reimbursement policy is designed to reimburse candidate and accredited member schools for some travel costs. This policy applies to a school’s total travel expenses (not the cost of rooms and meals), no matter how many people the school sends to the workshop. If your school spends more than $150 dollars on travel for this event and is traveling a distance greater than 250 miles you will be reimbursed a percentage of your expenses.
