Self Study Workshop

Location: Seattle Academy of Arts and Sciences
Check-in and continental breakfast at 10:00am, Workshop 10:15am – 3:00pm

Are you hosting a Visiting Team in 2020-21 or 21-22?
Do you want to learn more about the NWAIS accreditation process?

Schools hosting accreditation visits in the coming two years are strongly encouraged to send a team to this workshop.Come connect, ask questions and share ideas with teams from other schools also in the Self Study process.

Attend this workshop led by the NWAIS Director of Accreditation and an experienced Self Study Coordinator to learn about:

  • How the Self Study fits into the accreditation process
  • The role of the Self Study Coordinator
  • How to design your school’s Self Study process 
  • How to work with the Team Chair and Visiting Team

NWAIS offers two workshops over the course of the school year to better meet the needs of schools. Questions at the beginning of the process can be different from those closer to the visit. Although the program will be similar, the conversation may differ based on the needs of attendees. Come once or come twice. Should the event fill, first-time attendees will be given preference.  


NWAIS Attendees  - $35
Non-NWAIS Attendees: $50

Cancellation Policy

Substitutions may be made any time prior to the conference. Written cancellations received by May 19, 2020 are eligible for a refund after a $15 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after May 19, 2020 are ineligible for any refund.

NWAIS May Help Cover Travel Costs

The NWAIS travel reimbursement policy is designed to reimburse candidate and accredited member schools for some travel costs. This policy applies to a school’s total travel expenses (not the cost of rooms and meals), no matter how many people the school sends to the workshop. If your school spends more than $150 dollars on travel for this event and is traveling a distance greater than 250 miles you will be reimbursed a percentage of your expenses. NWAIS is Going Paperless

All program materials will be provided electronically.
If there are pre-event materials, they will be sent to you via email about a week prior to the event. Please "BYOD" (bring your own device) to access them at the workshop or if you prefer, print out the digital materials and bring them with you. We will not have hard-copy packets for attendees on-site.
