The Northwest School is a college preparatory school for students in grades 6-12.

The curriculum offers a strong and broad foundation, requiring all students to study math, science, an integrated humanities sequence, foreign languages, and two arts in all years. Sports teams compete in soccer, basketball, cross-country, volleyball, ultimate frisbee and crew.

The school values international perspective and invites 16% of its population from abroad. Responsibility and respect for the environment are taught through regular participation in cross-graded environment teams and in the outdoor program.
