The Northwest School is a college-preparatory, co-educational independent day and boarding school near the heart of downtown Seattle. We offer a rich and challenging program to roughly 500 students in grades 6 through 12, including about 80 international students, many of whom live in our campus dormitory. The Educational Technology Coordinator supports the mission of the school by working with faculty, students, and families to facilitate the use and integration of technology into the school’s curriculum and activities.
This is a full-time, 11 month position and works from August through June each year.
Collaborate with Faculty:
All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the school’s mission, values, and philosophy, especially related to diversity, equity, and inclusion; environmental sustainability, and global perspective.
A bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Experience with implementing and expanding technology use among adult members of a professional community.
Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas and MS Teams.
Demonstrated success with culturally responsive pedagogy.
Experience teaching a diverse student body through a social justice lens.
Experience in presenting information to groups, formally and informally.
Demonstrated maintenance of expertise on education and technology issues and applications and shares this expertise as appropriate with faculty and students.
ISTE Certification a plus.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Experience with teaching or coaching Coding, Computer Science, Robotics, Art, or Electronics.
