The Northwest School seeks an experienced Associate Director of College Counseling who will work with students (a typical graduating class has 90 members) throughout their junior and senior years, advising them in all aspects of the college search and application progress. Working closely with the Director of College Counseling, this key position will help students and their families prepare for the transition from Upper School to college or their desired post-secondary path.
Serve as the primary counselor for a portion of the 11th and 12th grade classes each year. Guide seniors and juniors and their families through the college selection and application process. Write, organize, and submit support materials for students’ college applications, including letters of recommendation and transcripts.
A bachelor’s degree and four years of experience in selective college admissions, college counseling, or a combination.
Anticipated start date is August 1, 2020.
