Primary Responsibilities:

The Overlake School seeks a health professional who will oversee the school’s health response to the COVID-19 virus. This position will require coordination with families, employees and local and state health officials. Additionally, this person will work with the current health and administrative staff to coordinate aspects of the school’s daily life.

Responsibilities and Duties:


Serve on the Health & Safety and Facilities teams to ensure that the school is following best practices identified by state and county health officials for the management of COVID-19. Oversee ordering and maintaining protective equipment supplies and other necessary health supplies


Monitor employee and student health on a daily basis. Assess and provide direct care for students and employees who may become sick while at school. Administer first aid, authorized health treatments, and CPR/AED in accordance with established procedures to students, staff, and persons on school grounds. Provide training for employees on proper health related topics particularly in regard to COVID-19.


Be a primary source of health information for employees and families. Serve as liaison between school personnel, families, healthcare professionals, and public health officials. Review immunization compliance and report status to Department of Health. Collaborate with Athletic Trainer to review student health information/records and manage student illness and injury.



-Degree from a professional nursing education program

-Certified as a registered nurse license (RN) from the Washington State Nursing Board

-Certified in the use automatic external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

-Current First Aid Certification


-Experience working in a school

-Strong technical and communication skills

-Ability to work successfully with a team

Compensation - $65,000 - $70,000 depending on experience

This position reports to the Head of School
