CAMPUS MINISTER

Eastside Catholic School is a Catholic faith-based educational community where students in grades six through 12 learn to integrate their thinking and believing in ways that encourage intellectual excellence, nurture relationships, and inspire a life of leadership and service to others. Founded by parents in 1980, the school is governed by an elected board of trustees. It is the only seven-year, co-educational Catholic school on the Eastside, and offers a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum. Eastside Catholic School enrolls over 865 students, employs 130 faculty and staff members and has an alumni base of over 3,500. Eastside Catholic offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401k match and a faculty/staff lunch program.

POSITION

Eastside Catholic is seeking a Campus Minister for the 2020-21 school year. This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about their faith and serving middle school and high school students on their spiritual journey.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan and help lead all grade-level retreats

• Assist in Mass and prayer services

• Build positive relationships with students

• Encourage and empower students to develop their capacities as faith leaders

• Track community service hours for students in both high school and middle school

• Assist students and families find local service placements

• Plan and coordinate service experiences for middle school and high school students

• Potentially teach a Religious Studies class and effectively present in a classroom setting

• Poise and confidence to speak to large groups during events and gatherings

QUALIFICATIONS

• A practicing Catholic

• Experience preferred in ministry and formation with middle school and/or high school youth or similar experience

• Bachelor’s degree in religious studies or related field of study preferred

• Willing to work regular school hours with an occasional weekend and evening commitment

• An exemplary work ethic characterized by high standards of ethics and personal conduct, honesty, integrity and professionalism.


Salary determined by years of experience and extent of education.
