Annie Wright Schools is seeking Grade Level Teaching Assistants in the Lower School (Grades 1- 5) and Middle School (Grades 6-8).

Position Overview: duties & responsibilities

Grade Level Teaching Assistants...

  • provide instructional support to grade level teachers;
  • aid students in their daily tasks, online or in person as needed, to help ensure their understanding of subject matter and use of materials;
  • provide supervision and support during recesses/breaks and lunch;
  • and maintain a professional attitude in all manner of conduct with students, faculty, and parents, including a commitment to confidentiality.

Qualifications

Grade Level Teaching Assistants…

  • hold a BA, ideally in education or a related field (teaching certification is a plus);
  • has experience working with and/or teaching youth;
  • are detail-oriented and demonstrate the ability to follow written and oral instructions;
  • demonstrate effective and appropriate communication with students, faculty, and staff, and parents;
  • demonstrate the ability to cultivate relationships with students in a short period of time;
  • exhibit confidence and capability in providing instruction;
  • and are available from 7:30 am-4:00 pm.

Compensation & benefits

Compensation includes an hourly wage of $15.76 and competitive benefits.
