Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach

Description: The Overlake School is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Varsity Girls Basketball Head Coach for the 2020-21 Season.

Salary is very competitive for both private and public school and is DOE.

Successful Candidates will:

1.Be positive, caring, and supportive of the school’s mission statement and be dedicated to the overall development of young people as student athletes.

2.Work collaboratively with coaches, students, faculty, parents, alums and administrators.

3.Role model the behavior which the program demands.

4.Possess strong communication skills, be very well organized, and have a passion for the sport.

5.Be able to pass a criminal background check in addition to having an acceptable driving record.

Basketball Coaching experience at the high school, college level, or club level, as well as a background as a competitive player, is recommended.

Responsibilities include:

  • Complete one-day preseason coaches training on campus
  • Execute all team practices and games
  • Provide basic medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries (we’ll train). Ability to execute emergency plan for athletic facilities
  • Meet department and state coaching standards and season planning expectations

  • One of the most competitive girls’ basketball programs in 1A state and a member of the Emerald Sound Conference (Chinook Division)
