The Middle School Librarian is responsible for the vision, leadership and operation of the Middle School Library as a vital intellectual and community center of the school. The Middle School Librarian provides reference and research service for students, faculty, staff and administration, and is responsible for ordering, cataloging and maintaining the collections, and supervising the library. The Middle School Librarian is a full time faculty member.

The purpose of the Middle School Librarian is to provide an integrated information program that includes library, media, and technology resources in support of student learning, instructional program and mission of the school. To that end and with the goal of ensuring that students and faculty are effective users of ideas and information, the Middle School Librarian has four main roles: teacher, instructional partner/colleague, information and media specialist, and program administrator.

Appointment to this position is expected to last one school year but may be extended.
