Student Program Coordinator

The Student Program Coordinator is the focal point of a team of teachers and educational experts who work together to craft a program for each student.

They will own a caseload of students to guide in YWA's program, building relationships with them, their families, and the rest of their educational team. They will ensure that each student they are responsible for has a program suitable to their needs, has established and achievable goals, and is well integrated into the school community. They will also work with their students' teachers to ensure that each program is consistent, all accommodations are being met, and the student is on track to achieve their goals.

Working at Yellow Wood Academy

Yellow Wood Academy is the school for students who thrive outside the box of traditional education. Our community of teachers and educators spend time with our students to develop a hand-crafted plan for each student and then we teach them either one-on-one or in tiny classes designed for peer learning. Our 100% special education inclusive environment integrates students of all areas of ability, learning challenges, and acceleration so they can learn at their own pace and in their own style while growing into a community of learners together.

COVID-19 Considerations

During COVID-19 we are offering the majority of our program online from the safety of home. We have a small, controlled, on-campus program that we assess for safety with current transmission and infection rates each month. The Student Program Coordinator position would require on-campus/work from home hybrid availability while students are on campus. If students are off campus the Student Program Coordinator would be able to choose their preference of working on campus or remotely.
