Lake Washington Girls Middle School (LWGMS), located in Seattle’s North Beacon Hill, is searching for a fundraising champion to support the mission of our school.

We need your passion for all things Development to meet and enhance the philanthropic and fundraising goals of Seattle’s most innovative girls school, raising the next generation of changemakers. But in addition to your stellar fundraising skills, we want your ideas and passion for developing and nurturing relationships with all constituents – both internal and external – to solidify long term connections that will help the school achieve strategic objectives.

The basics of the job will be simple for an experienced development specialist:

  1. Oversee day-to-day health and maintenance of all things fund- and friend-raising.
  2. Create strategies and events to meet income goals for annual fund, annual benefit, and capital campaign each year.
  3. Manage the building of community amongst current families and identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with non-parent constituencies.
  4. Collaborate with the Head of School, Development, and Admissions teams to explore and develop initiatives that reflect our commitment to equity, social justice, and leadership as innovators in education.

We want your expertise AND your input on how we can reach and engage our larger community. As a member of the senior administration, you will have the opportunity to influence our current and future direction as an institutional change agent that aims to re-shape our world by empowering girls to be strong in mind, body, and voice.

If you are an experienced fundraiser who wants to be part of a collaborative, stimulating, and dynamic academic community dedicated to the value of different perspectives and backgrounds, to inspiring curiosity, to cultivating compassion, and to motivating one another to take risks, we invite you to review the detailed job responsibilities and requirements and send us your credentials today.
