The school seeks an experienced professional committed to lifelong learning excited by the opportunity to collaborate closely with other teachers in creating and implementing thematic curriculum. The strong candidate will have a background in how primary aged children acquire basic skills and an awareness of and appreciation for children’s developmental milestones, as well as expertise in communicating with parents in parent/teacher conferences, narrative report writing and less formal occasions on a regular basis. The Lake and Park School was founded on principles of progressive education, promotes a hands on approach throughout all the grades, engages children in place based science through its commitment to outdoor learning and integrates the arts into all that we do.
