Riverstone International School is seeking a highly qualified, experienced person to join the High School faculty for the 2021-22 school year, beginning in Mid-August 2021. This position has the potential to be full-time or part-time depending on experience. We desire candidates with the ability to engage students in explicit reflection on how knowledge is arrived at in different disciplines and areas of knowledge, on what these areas have in common and the difference between them. This person should be able to encourage and support students in the writing of the TOK essay, providing students with advice on and guidance about the skills needed. Being a successful teacher at Riverstone requires flexibility, open-mindedness and an internal drive for excellence. Teachers are expected to regularly adapt, adjust and innovate curricula to better serve the diverse learning needs of our students and help us reach our institutional goals. Riverstone teachers develop ongoing, supportive relationships with students in the classroom, in our advisory program, and in the outdoors. Desirable candidates will have a teaching certificate, classroom teaching experience, and wilderness leadership experience with students of all ages, we value most those with experience with Middle and High School students.
