Substitute/Temporary School Roles (Seattle, WA)

All grade levels, subjects, departments and divisions.

This general recruitment may be used for daily, weekly and/or long-term temporary opportunities.

This position requires applicants to be, at the time of application, legally authorized to work in the United States. The Bush School does not offer visa sponsorship for this position and will not consider applicants who require visa sponsorship.

This is a general posting and as such is a general announcement for interested individuals to apply to, which may lead to possibly joining the school's substitute/temporary work pool. A qualified candidate will be able to manage the key responsibilities and tasks, as listed below:

  • Excellent preparation within their chosen field
  • Knowledge of a variety of teaching strategies
  • Familiar with diverse learning styles

Successful candidates will have:

  • Experience in teaching: 3-5 years minimum is preferred
  • Experience in field of expertise: 3-5 minimum is preferred
  • A bachelor’s or graduate degree in subject area
  • Capacity and desire to engage in experiential activities and programs with students
  • Skill in the use of technology: including, but not limited to, Zoom, Google and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work in a team – grade level, department, and/or division
