Villa Academy is seeking qualified substitute teachers to be on call as needed during the 2018-19 school year. We seek enthusiastic, creative, knowledgeable, and child-centered teachers.

A knowledge and love of students, desire to utilize Villa’s amazing outdoor campus, as part of the classroom experience, and willingness to work collaboratively with a grade level partner are desired qualities.


Education & Experience:

  • Valid Washington State Teacher certificate with appropriate endorsements
  • Successful elementary or middle school teaching experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Be adaptable: able to follow or change work plan based on needs of students
  • Able to climb stairs
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Strong student management skills
  • Ability to perform the job responsibilities of this position


$96 for a half day (up to 4 hours)

$24 hourly for substitution that extends beyond 4 hours.
