Position Overview: duties & responsibilities

The Upper School for Girls Math Teacher:

  • teaches Math courses in alignment with the mission and philosophy of Annie Wright Schools and with the International Baccalaureate framework;
  • works closely with colleagues to develop the Math program for the Upper School for Girls and to implement the curriculum and the co-curriculum, using best practices in teaching, student-centered instruction, and relevant educational technologies;
  • and fulfills all faculty duties, including serving as a Core Coach (advisor), IB Extended Essay Advisor, or IB CAS Coach, and maintaining good communication with families about student progress.


The Math Teacher:

  • Holds a BA in Math or a related field;
  • Has experience teaching high school Math at multiple levels and is familiar with the International Baccalaureate framework;
  • demonstrates an ability to form authentic relationships with high school students, excellent communication and organizational skills, reliability, and proficiency in educational technologies;
  • and is eligible to work in the United States.
