No one fights alone eastside volleyball team

What: The Eastside Catholic girls volleyball teams host Bainbridge Island High School teams in our eighth annual cancer awareness No One Fights Alone (NOFA) match.

Who: The Eastside Catholic Girls Volleyball Teams

Why: The NOFA event was organized in 2012 by the EC Athletic Department and Eastside Catholic’s former volleyball coach, Angie McKinnell, who was battling cancer at the time. The year following our first NOFA game, one of the EC volleyball players was diagnosed with cancer, bringing additional meaning to the event. To honor all those affected by cancer, the team and Crusader fans wear shirts specifying a loved one’s cancer diagnosis during the game.

When: Thursday, September 26. Junior varsity and junior varsity-c team play at 5:30 p.m.; varsity match is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Where: Eastside Catholic School, Athletic Pavilion

Media contact: Eastside Catholic Marketing and Communications Director Karen Hatch, 425-295-3042, khatch@eastsidecatholic.org
