Sammamish, Wash., August 20, 2020 – Eastside Catholic is pleased to announce that Katryna Cutler ‘16 has been selected as head coach for the girls and boys swim teams for the 2020-21 school year.
Coach Cutler was a two-year team captain during her high school career at Eastside Catholic. Currently, she is coaching athletes on the Bellevue Club Swim Team and has previously coached for Norwood Swim Team, Bellevue High School and Holy Names Academy. During her time at Bellevue, the girls team placed first at state while the boys team placed third.
Coach Cutler attended Seattle University where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in sports and exercise science and a Bachelor of Arts in humanities. Currently, she is applying for graduate school and is planning to pursue a career in physical therapy.
"We are thrilled to welcome back Katryna Cutler to Eastside Catholic,” Athletic Director Stacey Stoutt said. “She was a great leader as a student-athlete and is passionate about growing her sport. We are confident she will do a great job of building our swim program and will have our team competing at a very high level.”
Coach Cutler shared, “I am excited to be back at Eastside Catholic coaching for a team that helped shape who I am today and exuberated my passion for swimming. I’m looking forward to working with our great group of swimmers! Roll Cru!”
