Young man and helicopter

In 2014, Jackson Junkin, now a Cascades Academy senior, felt inspired to become a pilot after witnessing another Cascades Academy student land a helicopter on the school athletic field.  After a tremendous amount of training with Leading Edge Flight Academy, Jackson will be the one piloting and landing a helicopter on the school's athletic field this Friday afternoon at 1:30pm. The entire student body will gather to watch Jackson land the helicopter and demonstrate his piloting skills.

"We are incredibly impressed by Jackson's dedication to learning all of the skills necessary to pilot a helicopter. It has been incredible to witness his commitment to this endeavor over the past two years, and we are excited for all of our students to be able to share this moment with him on Friday," said Joshua Klaus, Cascades Academy Upper School Head.
